Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” ~ Matthew 4:4
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17
For this reason, we as TCFNC family come together every Tuesday to study God’s word, via zoom. We study one book at a time, going through passage by passage.
We would do the following steps while we study God’s word:
- Understand the meaning of the text in its original context (in the context of the author).
- Apply the lessons learnt from the text to our lives in our contemporary context.
For each passage that we study, we set aside dedicated weeks – one for understanding the text, and one for applying the text, while we discuss as a group and take questions from the group.
We strive to be – sound doctrinally – balanced in emphasis – practical in application.
